Physician can you heal thyself
An earth-bound, wingless angel
Destined to endure the anguish and deal with the perpetual sacrifices we all must endure.
Much to my delight, I can see she is much like a butterfly.
Graceful, beautiful, but also fragile, frantically seeking refuge from the storms of life.
Her stoic, statuesque persona reveals the cracks in her oft-broken heart.
Rather than healing her own wounds, she embarks upon a crusade to mend others.
And so she does, and does it well.
Illuminating ones life with a casual greeting or grin,
Similar to the cycle of the sun
Happy to see it come, sad to see it leave, but always on the move.
Let my sky not be
Confliction
The eternal cycle of sunrises sheds light upon the darkness that is my interior. It will not penetrate the barrier of sadness, to breathe into me life anew. Mencken said The common mans a fool. I am far from common, yet twice the fool.
Ever envious of those made gleeful by lives filled by greed, consumption, distraction and destruction. Once enlightened, you cannot devolve yourself into the simplistic, blissful mindset of the ignorant plebeian. Trading magic for fact, no trade-backs.
Loneliness and despair are the nails which seal my crypt. Desp
JOHN HUYN'S DAY
12 years. When John looked back at it, 12 years went by so damn fast. He had landed in New York 12 years ago from South Vietnam, and after living in the Big Apple for 14 months, he knew he couldn't live there. So he packed up and left his one room apartment in the Bronx and traveled west to urban Detroit. He had a tip from a friend back in New York that there were plenty of opportunities for small business owners in urban Detroit. When he remembered this advice he wanted to kick that guy's ass with steel toed boots, and put glowing embers down his throat.
"God damn retard" John muttered aloud.
He looked around;

I am Oriklos, a soldier in the Roman army, and this is the tale of how I and a battered army of true Romans defeated the Hunnic hordes that once pillaged northern Gaul so many years ago. This is the story that no one remembers or sings about, but for those that lived through what would be known as one of the hardest times in Roman history, the memory of the battles, slaughter, rape, and more will always haunt us for eternity.

World War Three: Part 1
Hot and hard. Those were the first sensations I became aware of. Nothing pitched or tossed; the hard-baked ground was firm beneath my back. I breathed in slowly, waiting But when no voices yelled or cursed, I opened my eyes, only to immediately snap them shut again when the harsh sunlight stabbed through. Giving up on visuals for the moment, I quickly took stock, moving every part of my body: no broken bones, no sprained joints, no burns, no bruises, no blood. I could hardly believe it. But nothing surpassed the amazement I felt at fully realizing that I still breathed, that my heart still pounded firm beneath my ribs. I was alive.
